Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Arkansas recently launched 'Bigs with Badges,' a new mentoring program to support Pulaski County Sheriff's Office Junior Deputy youth initiative and outreach efforts.
Through the Bigs with Badges program, BBBSCA will provide PCSO services that introduce Pulaski County youth to available careers in law enforcement and various professional fields.
"I am excited that Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas is partnering with the PSCO to bring our 'Bigs with Badges' program to Pulaski County," Raymond Omar Long, CEO of BBBSCA, said. "We also look forward to supporting the mentoring efforts of the Junior Deputy youth initiative. Utilizing the power of mentoring to develop deeper relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve will have a long-lasting impact. Now more than ever, it is vital for our society to create opportunities for positive interaction and experiences between our law enforcement and youth."
